The average life of the world’s great empires is about 250 years.

Most all have progressed through this sequence;

From bondage to spiritual faith;

From spiritual faith to great courage;

From courage to liberty;

From liberty to abundance;

From abundance to selfishness;

From selfishness to complacency;

From complacency to apathy;

From apathy to dependency;

From dependency back again to bondage.

We are apparently in the apathy stage and moving quickly to dependence upon an all consuming government.

The Declaration of Independence is 240 years old this July 4th and America’s demise is within sight. The evidence is obvious – we are killing our children, losing our liberty and going bankrupt. We have lost our moral compass and forgotten our Christian heritage. We have intentionally removed the Creator from public view and embraced humanity as the center of life. America cannot long endure the rejection of the God ordained foundation of life and liberty so boldly proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence and embodied in the Bill of Rights to the Constitution.

At last count we have killed over 58 million babies in America, indulged ourselves to the tune of $19 trillion in debt and given ourselves over to a reprobate mind and a tyrannical and over reaching government that intends to usurp all of our liberty for its own aggrandizement.

How did we get to this place so quickly? One word TOLERANCE. It seems so innocuous but when it is a part of an evil plan to

destroy the national soul of the society – it is the only scheme that could work. It is gradual and over-persuades our strongest convictions, particularly as Christians who don’t want to be perceived as intolerant. We give up our normal sensibilities for comfort and acceptance and go along to get along.

Without committed convicted leadership from Christians, we will continue to give up one principle and one value at a time until we no longer resemble our former self. We can each be that leader to our family and friends, not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and not abandoning the heritage of our founders. It takes some effort to stem the tide of degradation and corruption of a Nation – but we must! It absolutely requires a redirection of dependence upon the Lord rather than government. We must accept the reality of the scripture that says “Righteousness exalts the Nation and wickedness is a reproach to it.” If we are not allowing the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus to live through us, we are a part of the wickedness that is prevailing in our midst.

I commit to you and my family and to God Himself that I will reject timidity and boldly stand in the gap that has been prepared for me. Right now that gap is one where I can proclaim that I will not give up my personal religious liberty and have same-sex or transgender marriage to be performed in my home. I promise you I will fight for this right to exercise my religious freedom and thereby procure it for all of us. Together we are the only hope for salvation of those unalienable rights for us and our posterity. This is our sovereign and honorable duty.
